My Story Page 63: Status Quo

As we saw in the last post, a vicious circle of status quo gets established and maintained by the interaction and counter-interaction among the three variants of the human mind body system.

It is this vicious circle that resists any permanent healthy change in the diseased humanity that we all are the members of.

Now, these are the three points that we are dealing with:

  • The body posture
  • The eyelid lift
  • The mind

How do the three affect one another and with what results?

As I told in the last post, the way we lift our eyelid indicates what dominant emotion our mind is with.

If the dominant emotion changes, the geometry of the eyelid lift changes too.

Just try it with yourself, imagine (like actors do and act!) being in a particular emotion and check how your eyelid lifts itself. You will yourself come to establish a connection between the two.

Any and every emotion stops the eyelid from opening to its fullest along and across its full length and breadth. It presses the eyelid down at this point or that along its width and across its opening length.

And if we open the eyelid full along and across its total length and breadth, no emotion is left there in the mind.

Rather a new thing fills up the mind, which even stops every single thought into it.

It is interest.

Being interested in what we are looking at!

Don’t confuse being interested with liking a thing and therefore looking at it with more gusto.

Rather it turns us interested in whatsoever we are looking at, at that particular moment, whether we like it or not.

In fact liking and disliking are emotions too.

Being interested takes us out of our likes and dislikes as well.

Opening the eyelids right takes us out of our status quo that our mind is in.

There are hundred and one ways of opening the eyelids wrong but there is only one to open them right.

Now, what effect does it have on the body posture that we have gone habitual of keeping since our childhood?

It doesn’t immediately affect the posture, it being a less fluid and more rigid thing.

It is real difficult to break the status quo of the body posture through eyelid lift or mind shift.

It takes its own sweet time.

But we can fasten the process if we go the other way round.

I mean to say the way of changing the geometry of the body posture!
