My Story Page 73: Adrenaline Challenge

“It’s an adrenaline challenge to my being.” – she broke the silence.

“Yes, but a cool one. We are not letting the temperature run high.” – I added my comment.

“What’s the use?” – as if she was asking it to herself!

“What use is living on earth?” – I countered.

“It’s beautiful.” – she blurted.

“Isn’t our game beautiful too…more enjoyable than sex?” – I wanted to know her reaction.

“It’s posing a bigger adrenaline challenge.” – she stated.

“So it is this adrenaline challenge only that makes things more beautiful. Am I right?” – I wanted her confirmation.

“You mean sympathetic nervous system in action!” – she was moving slow.

“Exactly! That’s what we see in all the beautiful things on earth. They rush adrenaline to your body.” – I tried to move slowly too.

“But it turns it very hot…” – she went apprehensive.

“And we are forcing it to be there, and stay cool too!” – I smiled at the naughty innovation of my game we were playing.

“Generally no one lives in this sympathetic mode for long.” – she said while feeling her sensations she was having in her body.

“Because it’s too hot to bear for long. But if we are able to engineer it to remain cool, we never need going to the boring parasympathetic mode back ever. Life would turn so beautiful then…every single moment of it!” – I was dreaming of a heaven on earth.

“Aren’t we going against nature by doing so?” – she gave a voice to her doubt.

“Isn’t what we are doing a part of nature too? I mean, our nature!” – I countered her attack.

“Nature going against nature!” – she murmured as if to understand the anomaly more clearly.

“It always happened in the past so. That’s how we turned humans from monkeys. Evolution!” – I went awed.

“Wrong evolution killed dinosaurs and life on earth.” – she gave me a real adrenaline challenge this time.

“Also the chimpanzee could have broken its backbone in its attempt to stand on its twos!” – I again countered.

“You mean we are the two evolved ones who got this mutation in their crazy genes somewhere in the body or in the brain and they are paving way for the mankind to come along a new evolution path?” – her tone was naughty enough to tease me terse.

“Evolution has always been a crazy affair widening the horizons of nature itself.” – I blunted her edge.

“Nature is not a perfect entity, you mean to say!” – she went curious.

“Not only that, nature does make mistakes as well! And it pays for them too. It paid it at the time of dinosaurs, but it got rewarded at the time of Homo sapiens evolution. We are very much a part of nature. We ARE nature. Aren’t we?” – I was feeling I was going into a trance.

“And our adrenaline challenge too!” – she was getting enthused.

“I think human brain is the epitome of what nature created till date on earth. And our adrenaline challenge is getting generated here only!” I took her head into my palms and pressed it soft with a smile on my lips.
